Our name implies two things: that we're a string quartet, and that we like French umbrellas. It’s true that we prefer to stay out of the rain, but we’re more than just a quartet. We can be a string quartet, a trio, a duet, or some other ensemble altogether. Quartet Parapluie's collective group of string players are the finest in the Chicago area, bar none. You've heard our musicians perform with big-name bands, on late-night TV, in advertising commercials, on film and documentary soundtracks, on studio recordings, and with top-tier orchestras and chamber ensembles in the Chicagoland area.

But sometimes the smaller stage is the biggest deal. Your wedding, for example. If you're saying "I do," we'll make it pitch perfect. We LOVE love, and we really love weddings.
